Time for a new website

For some time now I’ve been looking at those small pocketable camcorders that first appeared sometime in the past 18 months.

disgo

Cheap and cheerful they are ideal for taking to parties or out clubbing because they just slip into the pocket or handbag and can then be whipped out for a quickie video of your closest friend making a complete prat of themselves. Get home, send it off to You’ve Been Framed and you’ve just got your money back with interest.

These little camcorders start at around the £35 mark up to the £100 level. A good price for kids, and they’ll find them easy enough to use too, with the higher priced items great for teenagers to do what teenagers do when they have simple technology in their mits.

So last night I went ahead and bought a domain name: yourpocketcamcorder.co.uk

You’ll see the similarity with the www.yournetbook.co.uk site that I have been running for a few months now. After a slow start that site is now picking up (could still do with more sales though) and the rankings for it are pretty good. Once I get some commission paid up I might invest in an Adwords campaign to give it a boost.

Anyway, in case you hadn’t noticed, then it’s the ‘YOUR’ part and so the camcorder site will become part of a massive YOUR geeky gizmo empire.

I’m still working on the Highwash Systems site and once that’s finished I think I may still have a finance site to do (must phone him up!!). I can then start the new site and meanwhile find a suitable WordPress template that I can use.

I can also spend the time finding a decent datafeed from PC World, Dixons and AN Other.

Come back at the end of May to see where I am on this.
