Shopping Zoo bites the dust

I might have mentioned about that shopping portal that I had. Called Shopping Zoo (naff name) it was never a big hitter and Kelkoo had nothing to worry about.
Basically it was an overlarge, bloated site with a crap front-end that never looked right from day one. Inside it was just as bad and eventually most of the links on there died a death due to the amount of affiliates that I was using. I kept a spreadsheet with them all on and if I could I would embed it on here but I fear for my servers sanity downloading that thing.
I’ve just taken a look at it to see how many merchants I’d signed up with. 737 of the damn things????? Of those 289 have either stopped trading or chucked me off for lack of action.
In the end I stopped updating the site and on December 31st it went the way of all bad sites. Pffftttt!!!
It can still be seen on the Wayback archives here and you can also see how long it lasted too.
That spreadsheet referred to will now be cherry picked to keep the decent merchants for my next, up-coming projects but I don’t know yet what or when they will be.
