Link categories

I found out how to change the order of the Link Categories on here. Looked it up on the help forum (bit obvious really but how many people don’t even think about it).
The answer there was to either put a number infront of each Cat, ie. 1 category, 2 category and so on or to put a non-breaking space: in front of the one you want at the top.
Not very elegant so I won’t bother. Why can’t it just be a simple matter of going into the admin side and clicking an up or down link to sort them out?
